Suessical the Musical
For campers in grades 1st through 7th we are happy to announce Seussical the Musical will be coming to the Lindenmere Theater for you! Now one of the most performed shows in America, Seussical the Musical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! All of your favorite Dr. Suess characters such as Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, the Whos, The Sour Kangaroo, JoJo and the Wickersham brothers are brought to life in this fun play. Let your imagination run wild as you meet characters from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. This story centers around the adventure Horton is faced with the challenge of not only protecting his tiny friend Jojo and the Who community which Horton discovers lives on a speck of dust but also protecting the abandoned egg from Lazy Mayzie. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant; in a story that makes you laugh and cry.

Legally Blonde the Musical
For campers in 7th through 12th grade we are bringing the popular movie Legally Blonde to the Lindenmere stage this summer. Your fun loving, fashionista, Delta Nu sorority sister Elle Woods puts the credit card down and follows her boyfriend to law school after being dumped to get him back. Elle is once again side by side with Emmett, Enid, Kyle, Paulette, Professor Callahan, Vivienne, and Warner and Brooke to name a few though her new journey at Harvard Law. Elle who has no previous Law experience must learn everything there is to be a Law Student and to show there is more to her than money and looks. Elle is given a coveted spot as one of Callahan’s interns working in a real case where she gets a crucial confession and changes the outcome of the trial. This play sends a clear message that it is important to stay true to who you are, which we couldn’t agree with more.

2nd Session

Once Upon a Mattress
For campers in grades 1st through 7th are you familiar with the story of the “The Princess and The Pea”? Once Upon a Mattress takes place in a fictional medieval kingdom and is a spin of the favorite fairytale that questions what really happens to the characters from the story. For instance did you know that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that, in fact, it wasn’t the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? For once instead of finding the Princess a Prince it is the Prince who must find his princess and with no help from his mother who sabotages every princess who comes along! Fun songs, hilarious turns and twists in the story, and some downright shenanigans will make for a great, fun second session production.

Thoroughly Modern Millie
For campers in grades 7th through 12th: Thoroughly Modern Millie is a fun, campy, high-spirited musical romp that we know you’ll enjoy! Taking place in New York City in 1922, Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz – a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Based on the popular movie, the stage version of Thoroughly Modern Millie includes a full score of new songs and bright dance numbers. Filled with frisky flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of a villainess you love to hate, Thoroughly Modern Millie is a perfectly constructed evening of madcap merriment.

Lindsay is excited to return to Lindenmere for her fourth summer and to join our leadership team as the Junior Girl’s Division Leader.  Lindsay has spent the last three summers as our general counselor working with our youngest bunk of girls.  After watching Lindsay interact with the girls and seeing the patience, and enthusiasm she has we know she will do great with all our Junior Girls. Lindsay recently became a nurse which has given her an even greater sense of compassion. With every summer she continues to bring passion and energy which is contagious for our campers and staff to be around and will ensure our Junior girls will be happy and well taken care of!

Charles Engwell Junior Boy’s Division Leader

This will be Charles’ second summer at Lindenmere and he couldn’t be more excited!  Charles just finished his first year at Leeds University.  Charles spent last summer in the theater working behind the scenes making sure the sounds, lights and sets were working and ready for the performances.  Charles’s outgoing and patient personality was an instant hit with the campers, and his popularity was shown in the size of his majors and minors.  Throughout the whole summer Charles constantly showed his hard work ethic, leadership abilities and dedication to all of the campers and counselors around him to have a great summer.  We Know Charles’ friendly and caring nature will provide a supportive environment filled with fun for our Junior boys.

Rachel Tennant  Lower Middle Girls Division Leader

Rachel is excited to join us for her 4^th summer at Lindenmere.  Since recently graduating from college Rachel has spent the winter working full time with children as a babysitter, soccer coach and as a volunteer for children with special needs.  For past summers Rachel was the candle making counselor and then the cooking counselor which are both very popular activities for our younger campers.  As well as working closely with our younger campers in her activity area each summer Rachel has been a bunk counselor to girls who are in lower middle camp.  We know her experience working with children, her knowledge and love for camp, as well as her caring and fun attitude will be a great combination to guarantee our lower middle girls have a great summer.

Peter Ellingsen Lower Middle Boys Division Leader

Peter “P Diddy” joins us for his third summer at Lindenmere and can’t wait for the summer to start!  Peter has a passion for working with children and in the winter is a middle school math teacher.  When he is not teaching he is involved in clubs and afterschool programs at his school.  For the past two summers you would have found P Diddy down on the basketball courts and as a bunk counselor to boys in lower middle camp.  We know his great leadership, optimistic attitude; along with his ability to relate to the campers will be a great asset to the success and fun for our lower middle boys.

Emma Warwick  Upper Middle Girl’s Division Leader

Emma is excited to return as one of the Middle Girl’s Division Leaders.  This will be Emma’s first summer as division leader but her third at camp.  For the past two summers you would have found Emma giving confidence to campers getting ready to fly on the trapeze or to campers learning how to do new tricks in gymnastics.  While at home Emma is studying public relations, business management and marketing at Bond University.  Emma brings with her a love for Lindenmere as well as a constant outgoing, patient and friendly attitude that we know will be the perfect combination for our Upper Middle Girls.

Jeff Hecht Upper Middle Boys

Jeff is excited to spend his third summer here with us at Lindenmere.  Jeff has spent the two previous summers as a part of our outdoor adventure program and can’t wait to become a division leader this summer.  In the past two summers Jeff has always been willing to learn everything he can about camp as well as take the initiative to help out within his department and campus.  Jeff is respected by the campers and counselors and we know he will do great with our Upper Middle Boys.  Jeff has an outgoing and friendly personality that is contagious to everyone around him, and we know that the combination of who he is with his love for Lindenmere will keep our Upper Middle Boys happy and having a great summer.

Kathleen Sweeney Senior Girl’s Division Leader

This will be Kat’s fourth summer and she is excited to return to her summer home here at Lindenmere.   Kat has spent two summers working in the office and most recently a summer in Tie-Dye.  Last summer we were able to see Kat blossom into a great camp counselor being in her activity area as well as with a bunk of campers.  Tie-Dye is a very hectic and popular activity and Kat showed patience as well as organization and made sure she was able to help and work with each camper.   Kat’s outgoing and fun nature is sure to be a hit with our senior girls and we know she will contribute everything she can to make sure they have a memorable summer.

Matthew Kohler Senior Boy’s Division Leader

Matt returns to us for his third summer at Lindenmere and couldn’t be more excited to return as a division leader.  Matt is currently an education major at Temple University and hopes to become a teacher when he graduates in the upcoming year.  When not hanging from the trees or helping campers overcome fears at the outdoor adventure program, Matt was surrounded by his boys leading dance moves in the dining hall, playing pickup sports games or spending time with the boys from his bunk.  With each summer Matt has made every effort to become more involved in both his program area as well as the daily life at camp.  Matt is full of energy, enthusiasm and spirit and is sure to make this summer unforgettable for our Senior Boys.

The great State of New York brings us Eric Berg. Eric is looking forward to mountain biking through our extensive campground, sounds like fun! Haley Barr has been a long time Lindenmere camper and this summer she is sharing the fun with her friend Allison Barker. Welcome Allison, we are so happy to have you. Rachel Blumenthal plans on spending her summer playing softball, talk about girls of summer! Best friends Alexis Camileri and Taylor Ferrara are super excited to share Lindenmere together. Look for this giggly duo making beautiful crafts in arts and crafts. Dani Resnick loves the Lindenemere life and is bringing good friend Emma Cerda with her this summer. Emma is planning on designing costumes for the theater program, how cool! Brother and sister team Alex and Victoria D’Angelo are psyched for their first summers as well. You will find Victoria on the tennis courts, and Alex on every other sports field. Pauline Fritz is a serious equestrian, look for her in our newly expanded stables! Rebecca Hirschorn has loved camp for the past few years, and this summer she is bringing her brother Jordan with her. Jordan plans on spending serious time at the lake. What a great place to be! Portia Hubregsen is taking a different view of camp, and upside down one! Look up to find Portia hanging upside down in circus. Madeline Jutsen had so much fun at Fall Foliage she knew this is where she wanted to spend her summer! Emma Kassel is ready to have a blast on the soccer field, go Emma! Sisters Julie and Daphne Koenig are so ready for camp! You will find the girls all over camp from arts and crafts to theater. Sharing the Lindenemere love is a great thing. Long time camper Emma Patterson is bringing her friend Izzy Lichtenstein. Any friend of Emma’s is a friend of ours :. Brothers Stav and Daniel Nevstadter are excited to leave the NYC summers behind them, and enjoy the beautiful Pocono Mountains. We are happy to have them both. Speaking of siblings help us welcome sisters Lauren and Sarah Rodolitz. These girls are so excited to try everything from arts and crafts to our huge pool. What a great summer they are in for! Phoebe Silverton knows where she wants to be this summer. In the Lindenmere Stables! We just know she will love it! Ben Slater is a rock star in training. You will find Ben rocking out to base guitar in rock shop. Melanie Weintraub may be tiny but she is a serious adventure seeker. From flying trapeze to zip line, this is a wild child!

Hey New Jersey what great kids are waiting for us? Kevin Ades wants to grow up and run away to join the circus. First he will have to practice in our awesome circus. Zoe Gofman loved camp so much last summer she is sharing this summer with her younger brother Cooper. Welcome to all Gofman’s! Cooper is so excited for camp he is bringing his friend Joey Abad with him. Watch out for these two, we smell trouble :. Paige Henderson is so excited for her first summer, she is bringing friend Jackie Blumhoefer with her. Jackie loves cooking, so we know she will love our cooking program. Kyle Dontas is a speed chaser, whether it will be go karting or zip line he feels the need for speed. Ruby Hodges is a gymnast. We know she is going to love our new Lindenmere gymnasium. Sarah Holtzberg is seriously creative, whether it’s making awesome cupcakes or artistic creations. Can’t wait to see what she will come up with this summer. Josh and Scott Katz are psyched for their first Lindenemre summer. We know it will be the first of many, as these are awesome kids. Ethan Libien knew after visiting us this summer that Lindenmere was where he wanted to be. So happy to have him, welcome Ethan! Alex Lifton is seriously creative. How much is she going to love our amazing arts and crafts building! Alex Marsek is a competitive swimmer. She is going to love our huge indoor pool, and we are going to love having her with us. Rebecca Miller is an amazing artist. She is going to have so much fun in drawing and painting. Ella Howe has enjoyed many camp summers with us, and this summer she is bringing Miranda Proto with her. Welcome Miranda, so happy to have you! Jennifer Wandner is looking forward to making friends in her bunk, and enjoying all the friendships that come out of camp.

Shout out to Pennsylvania for lots of cool kids. Twins Sophie and Rachel Brown plan on splitting their time between the sports fields and the stables. What a great plan! Shane Boyer is looking forward to his first summer at camp, as is his friend Rutger Fickensher. Happy to have both of you boys! Also joining the crew are brothers Ely and Ben Miller Wilson. Wait! Don’t forget their friend Edward Zhang. What a great group of boys that will be! Please help us welcome Chloe, Emma and Josh Foster-Storch. We are so happy to have the whole gang with us! Emma’s BFF Tiah Zuzolo can’t be without her this summer. So they are coming together! Tiah’s big sister Isabella doesn’t want to miss out on the fun either. What a great group of girls. After seeing our awesome basketball courts this summer Jordyn Goldring knew that’s where she wanted to spend her summer. How lucky are we! Natalie Lutz is made for the Lindenmere stage, lights, camera, Natalie! Milan Masoudnia is an archer in training. Hope he likes our archery fields! Devon Gelman had the best summer of her life last year. So much so she is sharing it with good friend Annie McGill. Welcome Annie! We love it when siblings share the Lindenmere love. Chloe Spergel is bringing little brother Noah with her this summer. Noah is looking forward to everything, from sports to theater, sounds perfect to us! Josie Stephens also loves arts and crafts, she is going to have a lot to choose from!

Maryland has always brought us great kids and this summer is no exception.
Sara Cohn is a big basketball player and we know she is going to love our Lindenmere league. Arianna and Sophia Smith have heard about camp summers from their friend Gabby Surovcik. Now they get to make their own memories.
Shauna Mahoney is so excited for color war! We are so not going to disappoint her. Say it with me… 1, 2, 3 4 WE WANT COLOR WAR!!!

Escape those Florida Summers, and come join us in the Poconos. Naomi Levy took advantage of this last summer, and now her friend Sean Plunkett is doing the same. Any friend of Naomi’s… Brother and sister team Hannah and Harrison Medow are each ready to board that plane. Summer can’t come fast enough!

Connecticut is home to more than just Yale, How bout great campers!
Deanna Harotg’s sisters went to Lindenmere years ago, but now it’s Deanna’s turn, and we are so happy to have her! Emily Circelli is a serious dancer and cheerleader; hmmm someone is going to have a lot of fun!

Shout out to the Dakotas this summer! South Dakota brings us Grace Ketterling and North Dakota brings us Devin Sherve. They can’t wait to spend their first summer in the Poconos and we can’t wait to meet them!

Each year during the summer we evaluate all of our activity areas around camp and analyze how and what we can improve on to give our campers the best summer of their life. The thing about camp is that you only have 6 weeks to live it, get all of the information that you possibly can, make the appropriate notes and then you have the other 46 weeks to take that information and make it happen. As we have grown we have never wanted to sacrifice the amount of participation in our program areas. How do you combat that? Keep building new facilities!

This is the time of year that parents all ask, “So what’s new?” It’s funny because in the months leading up to this article we like to joke around with the kids about what is going to be new this year, like it is a big secret! The reality is we get just as excited as the parents, campers and staff when we add to our camp. There is something very gratifying about creating something that is going to provide so much enjoyment for so many people for so many years. A new building and all of the equipment for a program area isn’t a trend like a pair of the new Jordan throwbacks. When you look at the old circus building (hint hint) you can imagine how many campers have been through it, how many friendships have been made, how many skills have been taught, all under that roof. It’s hard to see and feel this while camp is in session, but when I walk through all of the program areas in the off season it is impossible not to look at them in that way.

This year we have quite a few big projects that are happening that are going to dramatically impact camp. Here you go!

ROCK SHOP

The first additions that we are happy to announce are two new rock shop studios. After adding two studios in 2010 we knew that we would not be stopping there. The program is just way too popular and we want our kids to have every opportunity, rain or shine, to practice. That gives us 5 studios fully equipped and ready for campers to play in. Along with adding the studios we have purchased more equipment so that each studio has its complete set up inside. With the return of Phil and Mikey as department heads, hiring the biggest staff that rock shop has ever had, they have big plans for their activity area. Rock shop is going to have the highest level of instruction that it has ever seen at Lindenmere.

STAFF

The next addition is geared for our staff. One of the biggest mistakes that you can make is not taking care of those that take care of our campers. They are our lifeline at camp so we want to keep them as happy as we can. We are going to be building a new staff lounge for them. It is going to be fully equipped with computers, vending machines, gaming systems, flat screens, an outdoor patio and much more! We moved it to a new location to give them a bit more of a feeling of being “off” camp. A happy staff is a motivated one!

TENNIS

Last year we added new windscreens to our tennis courts. This year we thought we would add more tennis courts too! We will be adding three new courts right next to our lower set of courts. Tennis is one of our most popular sports that we have at camp so why not give our tennis players more space. This will bring our total number of courts up to 8. Since we will be adding more courts we will also be adding more staff. In the past we have had a total of 5 staff working at the courts, this year we have raised it to 7. This is going to give each court an instructor and leave one court open for games. The courts will certainly have tons of action this summer!

CIRCUS AND GYMANSTICS

Last summer we put a lot of focus on improving our circus/gymnastics program. We found out by adding a lot of new equipment that the kids loved it and the program had its biggest year ever. With the success grew the popularity and we started to see that we needed more space. So we decided that we would add a brand new circus pavilion right next to the old one. The new pavilion is about 30% bigger than the old one to provide lots of extra space. We are going to bring all of the circus equipment from the old pavilion that we purchased last year and move it into the new one. We will also be purchasing a whole bunch more to fill all of the extra space! The new building is going to have so much extra space that all of the aerial acts will be able to perform at the same time without any obstruction from the ground acts. There is going to be a ton of action in there this summer!

So you are probably asking what is going to happen with the original circus pavilion. We saw that we have a lot of campers that are really interested in gymnastics. With our previous set up gymnastics really didn’t have all the space and equipment that it needed because of the growing circus program. We are now dedicating the pavilion for gymnastics, floor routines and acrobatics. We have been working with our department head and gymnastics staff to come up with a new floor plan that is going to utilize every inch. The great part is that the two pavilions are going to be connected so campers and staff are going to be able to go freely back and forth on rainy days.

These are some of our major projects for the year. Obviously there will be a ton of smaller improvements that ultimately will add to another great summer at Lindenmere. We can’t wait!

Dara Foster-Storch Program Director

My name is Dara and I am so excited to join Lindenmere this summer to bring my special brand of warmth and enthusiasm to camp. Having had my own life-changing camp experience, I knew that one day I would return as an adult and possibly share this wonderful opportunity with my children…and so I did. After enjoying a rewarding NYC advertising career, raising my son and twin daughters and happily volunteering in all things relating to them, I decided it was time to pursue my true passion, working with children. For the last three summers, I have joyfully created and directed an inaugural social justice program for the JCC of Princeton, Mercer and Bucks counties. This deeply inspiring experience became my spring board for change. I am thrilled to now be teaching preschoolers where I hope to empower children to be the best version of themselves. That is the mission I carry forth as I embrace the role of Program Director at Camp Lindenmere. So when you see me smiling, know it’s because I’m exactly where I want to be…please introduce yourself, I can’t wait to meet you!

Kalyn Franke Assistant Program Director

Hi! My name is Kalyn and I will be the Assistant Program Director for Summer 2012. Last summer, I worked in the office full time and was able to learn how to schedule campers into their afternoon minors. This summer, I will be using those skills in my new role, overseeing the entire minor scheduling process from compiling the minor sheets that campers fill out at breakfast to checking the final activity rosters. After the day’s scheduling is finished, I will lend an extra set of hands to our artistic campers in the Arts and Crafts building and then spend the evenings with my bunk. I can honestly say that my first Lindenmere summer was one of the best experiences of my life, and I am looking forward to working with Dara and the rest of the Lindenmere team to make Summer 2012 the best summer yet!

Izzie Yaakub Head of Circus

My name is Izzie Yaakub, and I’m 31 years old (although I’d be 32 by the time camp starts). I have been teaching and performing circus acts for 10 years now, mainly with Club Med, where I was a circus manager for the last 7 years. I do mainly aerial acts, and I specialize in flying trapeze, where I can be both a flyer and a catcher but I enjoy all aspects of the circus arts.

As a kid, I was always most excited when a carnival came to my town. Just the feeling of being in the carnival, playing the simple games at the stall, walking through the haunted house, looking at my reflection in the funny shaped mirrors, the smell of caramel popcorns, the sounds, and of course, the shows. I still remember one of the first flying trapeze acts I ever saw. They were ‘The Flying Cranes’, traveling and performing, I believe, with ‘The Great Moscow Circus’. I remember climbing windows and cupboards at home after that, to the horror of my parents!

My practical passion for circus started when I first held a fly bar and did my first catch, which was a planche. I knew then that circus, and trapeze, would be a big part of me, and that’s how I want to live my life… performing. And if I’m ever good at it, I will share with others how to do the same.

Working with children at circus is nothing short of magic, because you can see it in their face when they’re inspired and when they accomplish something. You know you’ve armed them with the confidence and the ‘never say never’ attitude that will be the foundation of what they can achieve in life.

As this is my first time working in camp, I look forward to meeting everyone and hopefully learn as much, if not more, from all of you as I can share.

Mikey Scofield Co Head of Rock Shop

I’m excited about not only returning to camp for my 3rd year, but to be co-running with Phil Swasey whom I worked under in 2007. I respect how much the kids looked up to him and I know his experience, support, and guidance will be something that will help me grow as well as something that will help the department succeed. I am very excited and looking forward to the expansion of our department and the construction of a new facility. This new facility will give more rehearsal space and each band more time to practice and rock out! I’m excited to jam with the kids and counselors, and can’t wait to see what songs the campers will want to play this summer. I know Phil and I are going to be able to create a fun time for all and another memorable summer in the Rock Shop. In addition to being exciting about the rock shop, I just can’t wait to be back at camp. Wearing all my fun bandanas just isn’t the same at home, and can’t wait to bust out some of the new ones I have added to my collection! It is pretty hard to contain my excitement for the summer and I hope these next few months go by quickly so we can all be together at camp. See you soon!!!

Phil Swasey Co-Head of Rock Shop

Hi Lindenmere,

My name is Phil Swasey and I am thrilled to be back at the Rock Shop this summer. I’ve been playing guitar for over 15 years, and have been performing in rock bands ever since. In addition to my experience in the world of rock, I have a background in classical music with a Masters of Music in Composition. My musical interests have taken me all of the country, including 2 years writing and performing in various bands in New York City. I am currently living with my wife in the live music capital of the US, Austin, TX, where I am the Assistant Director of Orchestra and Mariachi Bands at Bedichek Middle School. 

It’s a great feeling to be returning to camp after a two year hiatus. My summers weren’t the same without 6 weeks in the Poconos. It brings a smile to my face when I think about the opportunity that I will have this summer to work with some of my favorite former campers that are now on the Rock Shop staff, in addition to all of the great returning staff that are signed on. It’s going to be a great summer in the Rock Shop!

Marc De La Concha Head of Theatre

I’m excited to be returning to Lindenmere after 6 years. I am a graduate of SUNY Fredonia, where I received a B.F.A in Musical Theatre. I have worked at a number of theatres around the country and has been on several national tours. I now live in New York City where I work as an actor.


In addition to my career on stage, I have over 10 years experience working with various summer camps and after school programs as a Director/Teaching Artist. I have worked with The Educational Alliance After 3 Arts Program at P.S. 142 and The Manhattan School for Children in New York. I have also worked with The Millbrook Summer Theater Camp, The Schenectady Arts and Academics Camp, Camp Saradac and Camp Na Sho Pa. I am also the Co-Founder/Director of PLAYGROUND Drama Day Camp     

I have a wide range of experience in the theatre. My creativity and passion for the performing arts are the foundation of what is sure to be a great summer at Lindenmere.

Hopefully those questions have gotten you even more excited for this summer. With each summer we try to think of new evening activities that you will all love. So here is sneak peak at some evening activities coming to you this summer! Have you seen the popular game show Minute to Win it? Start watching the show and learning the challenges because you never know which one your bunk might have to complete. Jr. and Middle camp, did you know there was gold all over camp? You will have to work as a bunk to get the most gold but watch out for the robbers, they are bound to give you a hard time. Each division this summer will have a Lip Sync night, you will work as bunk to create a routine, design costumes, and there will be a winner for each division. Some of you may have played the game called Steal the Bacon at school or in a sports practice, we are bringing the game to Lindenmere this summer with a huge five-foot ball!. Have you ever wanted to throw a pie in your counselors face, make your counselor do a belly flop, or dress them up silly for day? Well Counselor Revenge is your chance! Sr. Camp get out your dancing shoes because this summer you will be having a Dance-A-Thon! Most of you are probably familiar with Capture the Flag, but have you ever heard of Capture a Lindenmerian?

Just thinking of all these classic and new evening activities gets me excited for camp! I can’t wait to see how they turn out. Hopefully the next 5 months goes by quickly so we can all be together again!

No, I did not spell PRESENCE wrong. It’s presence NOT presents. The greatest gift you can give someone is your time and true presence. By presence I mean be there for your loved ones. Lindenmere is taking a bite out of the Big Apple! From NYC we welcome Ryan Gilfillan. Ryan fell in love with Mt biking on his tour last summer, so look for him zipping through camp! Ryan was so excited about his tour he told his good friend Lucas Tedone. Lucas thought our skate park was so cool! Guess we know Lucas’s major! Lucas toured with his big sister Sydney. Our big heated swimming pool is more Sydney’s style. Ryan and Lucas know how much fun Lindenmere is going to be so they spread the word to their friend Quentin Dooley. Quentin is psyched for skateboarding and basketball. What a great group of friends! Sam and Jacob Perman had so much fun last summer they recommended us to their friends Annie and Will Epstein. Welcome Annie and Will, so happy to have you! Haley Barr has been loving the Lindenmere life for years, and this summer she is sharing it with her little brother Justin. We know Justin will love Lindenmere too! Speaking of siblings sharing the camp love Jordan Berke had the best summer last year, and little brother Tyler Berke is about to share in the fun. Yay Berke brothers! Lindenmere loves siblings sharing the camp love! Nicole Morgan is sharing her summer with little brother Jack Morgan this year. Welcome Jack! Rachel Cicio fell in love with gymnastics on her tour (wait till she sees our new gymnastics pavilion!) and she knew Lindenmere was the place to be! Adain Guida liked gymnastics on her tour as well but really thought our stables were her favorite. Guess we know where to find Aidan this summer! Kayla Hill has been enjoying the Lindenmere stables for years, and this summer she is bringing her little sister Kayla Hill with her. Welcome Kayla! Good friends Spencer Kahn and Logan Singer both spent Fall Foliage with us. The guys decided if one day at camp is so much fun imagine a whole summer! Madeline Jutsen joined us for Fall Foliage, and we are so excited she is joining us this summer. Welcome Madeline! Look for Spencer and Logan playing heated games of gaga. Austin Krach also joined us for Fall Foliage. Austin is psyched to hit the basketball courts this summer. Fall Foliage was one busy day for us! Steven Schatzberg spent the day amazed by our ropes course. Look up this summer and you might see Steven! Max Millar is excited to leave the big city noises behind him and enjoy noisy camp nights! Happy to have you Max! Dani Resnick loves camp so much she is sharing the fun with her friend Emma Cerda. Look for Emma in fashion design making creating gorgeous designs. Sisters Ryan and Avery Piken loved their tour this summer. Ryan decided the Lindenmere theater is the place to be while Avery is happy to be hanging with the horses this summer. We are so happy they both decided to hang with us this summer. Sisters are great, but best friends are better! Jolie Zenna is so excited to hang with the Piken sisters this summer! Lindenmere is not just for sisters! Please welcome brothers Shay and Milo Roban. Keep your eyes on these boys as Milo is likely to make his brother Shay disappear in magic! Noah and Avery Schwartz had a blast on their tour this summer. You will find Noah in our media center and Avery rocking out in Rock Shop! Eric Berg is excited for rocketry and woodworking. Sounds like somebody is going to be busy creating! Beth Semilies decided on her tour this summer arts and craft was the place to be. We can’t wait to see her creations! Brother team Eli and Jake Suchman had so much fun on their tour of camp. Eli can’t wait for skate park, and Jake is excited for canteen! Too bad he can’t major in it Alana Tokayer has a smile that lights up a room! Look for that mega watt smile in arts and crafts this summer. Juliet Weglarz is an amazing ballerina, look for her in our double dance studio and our tennis courts. This is one kid who will be on her toes this summer! Gunnar Carroll is looking forward to hitting every sports field he can this summer.

We can always count on our neighboring state of New Jersey to bring us great kids and this summer is no exception. Sydney Bordetsky will be sharing her contagious giggle with all of her new friends in arts and crafts. That will be one happy giggly building! Big sister and brother Hannah and Max Benton are bringing their little brother Sam to camp this summer. Welcome Benton family! Jack Halpern had the summer of his life last year. What could be better than sharing this summer with brother and sister Jane and Jesse Halpern. Woo hoo! Happy to have the whole Halpern family! Krista Daniel has also spent may happy summers at Lindenmere and this summer little brother Joseph gets to find out what all the fun is about. Welcome Joseph! Alexa Ciangiulli will be sharing her time this summer between our dance studios and arts and crafts. Sounds like a great summer to us! Jacob, Eli and Jillian Feit are one close family. So much so they all decided to share Lindenmere together! You will find Eli in Mt biking, Jacob in baseball and Jillian in arts and crafts. We are so happy to welcome them all! Speaking of camp families Ethan and Wes Gelman had so much fun last summer, little sister Lily is coming too this year! Welcome to the whole Gelman crew! Danielle Friedman loved her last summer and is sharing the camp love with little sister Sarah. Happy to have you Sarah! Zoe Freeman has decided to run away and join the circus. Good thing she can do that at Lindenmere! Rachel Glasser has big plans for tie dye this summer, oh boy! This is gonna be one colorful camper! Paige Henderson is a serious adventure seeker. You will find Paige zipping across the zip line and hanging upside down in outdoor adventure! Evan Hirschman has been a long time Lindenmere camper, this summer his sister Leah Hirschman gets to make her own camp memories. Look for Leah and her good friend Charlotte Walker to be making tons of new friends. These are 2 super fun giggly girls, and we are so happy they have decided to laugh with us! Look out A Rod! Zach Kirschner will be tearing up the Lindenmere baseball fields! Go Zach! We guess Halle Marinaccio loved camp last summer because this summer brother Benjamin is joining us too! Welcome Benjamin! Emma Mcnamara will be dividing her time between basketball, soccer and cooking. How much fun does that sound! Jack Page also loves basketball and soccer. Hmmm do we hear a matchup? Boys vs girls? Daniel and Kaitlyn Rose had a blast on their tour this summer. Daniel is planning on becoming a master magician while Kaitlyn is psyched for zip line. Sounds like a great summer for both of them! Vanessa Sheinbaum thought the flying trapeze was so cool! Up in the air is it a bird? a plane? Nope it’s Vanessa! Matthew Solko is all about the ball. Baseball, basketball… hmm inter camp games anyone? Wishes do come true! Please welcome Abbey and Jack Wish. Look for Abbey on the Lindenmere stage and Jack hanging at our lake. Ryan Zimmet also enjoyed Fall Foliage, so much so he decided to make a summer of it. Welcome Ryan! So happy to have you.

India Baker is an amazing dancer, we can’t wait to see her in our talent show! Hope Bluhm has been part of the Lindenmere family for years, and now she is sharing her family with ours. Please welcome Emily Bluhm. Lindenmere is all about friends! Please welcome Jeremy Bolts, Scott Kaplan, Shane and Ethan Boyer. Wow, what a group! We are so happy to have you all join us. Adam, Yasmina and Laya Cobrinik have been enjoying Lindenmere summers for years. Please help us welcome Jamila Cobrinik. So happy to have the whole Cobrinik family this summer! Annabelle Harden is sharing the Lindenmere love with little brother Miles this summer. We have loved having Annabelle at camp, and we know we will love having Miles as well. Big sisters must be pretty smart, because Julia Kaplan is bringing her little sister Jessie Kaplan too. Happy to have both Kaplan girls! Look for brothers Benjamin and Daniel Picker tearing it up on our sports fields. Grant Shenkman spent last summer rocking out in Rock Shop and out door adventure. We wonder what his brother Davis Shenkman will choose this summer? Natalie Lutz (PA) Took a tour of Lindenmere, and decided this should be her summer home. Look for Natalie creating great works of art in fashion design and arts and crafts.
Emily Sinrod may be our Nation’s next great artist. We can all say we knew her when she was creating great works of art at LIndenmere. Sisters Jordan and Alexa Spizer will split their summer between the sports fields and the theater. Sounds pretty great to us!

Maryland is bringing us lots of siblings this summer!
Sara Jacobi is sharing her camp with little brother Jared Jacobi. Welcome back Sara, and welcome Jared! Rachel Nevett insisted her sister Danielle knows whats so special about a Lindenmere summer. Glad to have you Danielle! Blayne Schenk wants to share her special camp too with little brother Spencer. Happy to have you Spencer! It’s not just big sisters that know best, big brothers are smart too! Matthew Kupferschmid is bringing Jenna to Lindenmere this summer to share the fun. Yay!

Brooke Levy was smart to escape the Florida summer last year. She spent her summer in the cool arts and crafts building. Little sister Jamie doesn’t mind the heat! She is excited for baseball!

From Out West please help us welcome Luke Baril. Luke will be joining us from Colorado! Luke’s cousins Blake and Shae Marko will be joining us as well from New Mexico! We can’t wait to meet the whole family, and have them join our Lindenmere family!

Welcome to all of our new campers! We just know 2012 will be the best summer yet!

It was great walking through Space Odyssey and seeing our campers having so much fun! The huge arcade was full of campers playing all of the games in an attempt to collect as many tickets as possible so that they could cash them in for some great prizes. Laser tag was quickly booked with teams of friends going against each other for some friendly battles. The boys really enjoyed taking their turn at bowling; they were throwing the ball as hard as they could down the lane in hopes to knock down all the small pins at once. At one point I think we must have had almost all of the campers in the tunnels hanging out and just spending time talking and catching up with each other. Just like our camp social we had the picture magnet machine set up for all to use and add to their collection from the summer.

In just 6 short months we will all be together again for another unforgettable summer. Until the next time we are together again at the spring picnic make sure to keep camp in your thoughts and life. Listen to the summer of 2011 songs, keep in contact and make plans to see your friends, look at your pictures and watch our countdown online. Before we all know it, the winter will be over and we will be getting ready to begin the best 3 or 6 weeks of your life!

Introducing our new fun filled interactive fan page!

Starting in November, we are going to upload 3 different interactive posts a week. It is your job to get involved, and in return you will receive great Lindenmere gifts. Here is a sneak peak at the interactive categories and directions:

1. Photo Guessing: We have taken a picture from camp and altered it. Your job is to tell us what the picture is of, comment on the picture and see who gets it right.
2. Polls: Your vote counts!!! We will be posting different questions each week. All you have to do is vote on the answer that you think is best. Some of these questions are going to directly affect changes at camp and we want our Lindenmere families to be directly involved in the decision making process.
3. Home Happenings: Tell us what is going on at home. Are you playing a sport, and how is your team doing? Did you do great on a test? Having camp sleep overs? Email us at fun@camplindenmere.com and we will share your news each week!
4. Trivia Questions: What do you remember from this past summer? We will ask a question each week, comment on the question and see who gets it right!
5. Photo Contest: Do you have a great photo from this summer; did you catch a great camp memory? Email us your photos at fun@camplindenmere.com and we will select a winner and share it with you. Can’t wait to see those pictures!
6. Lindenmere Around The World: Have you been on family vacations, traveled somewhere with a sports team, or live next to a famous landmark? Lindenmere Around the World is a photo journal of our campers, staff and family members wearing their Lindenmere shirts all around the world. Send us your photos to fun@camplindenmere.com and we will share them with you.

Numbers 1-5 are each worth 1 point and number 6 is worth 5 points. Each time that you participate in a post we will keep track of your points. As you reach each new level a great prize will be sent your way!

Before we knew it, the day was ending and it was time to say good bye. We have been working hard with all the plans for this coming summer and to improve in any way possible. Since we were at full capacity last summer for both sessions we were able to clearly see which program areas need facility expansions and we are working hard to make that happen.

We will never sit back and be passive. That is not our style. We will aggressively analyze and breakdown every area of Camp (every year) and see how we can get better. Our goal is to make each summer the best in Camp’s history.

I miss everyone and can’t wait to see you at Fall Foliage. It’s such a beautiful time at Camp and so great to be back at our Henryville Home. I hope everyone is back in school mode and making the most of every day. See you soon!!
