Performing Arts

Our Performing Arts Program focuses on building confidence in a multitude of disciplines based on singing, acting, and dancing. Each activity area will have a structured curriculum that will teach them everything they need to know. These programs culminate with performances on Visiting Day and demonstrate the accomplishments of our campers.

MUSICAL THEATER AND STAGE MANAGEMENT

We perform three to four performances per summer. Campers participate in both onstage and backstage programming. The Lindenmere Rec-Hall is a busy place as it is home to many evening activities, special events, and our Theater and Voice programs. Campers may choose to perform on stage in one of our productions each summer. (Grease, Annie, Wicked, Moana, The Little Mermaid are a few of our recent productions.) For those campers who prefer to be behind-the-scenes, we offer: Costuming, Set Design, Stage Management, Lighting, and Soundboard Engineering. Our Voice Program will allow campers to pick their favorite song and sing it while being accompanied by a piano.

Dance

Lindenmere campers are able to utilize 2 state-of-the-art dance studios, each equipped with top-notch sound systems, wall mirrors, ballet bars, and hardwood floors.  We offer hip hop, jazz, modern, ballet, tap, and contemporary. Campers will work with their counselors to learn how to choreograph a routine, fine-tune their skills, and put on a performance at the end of each session.

Rock Shop

The band is back in town at the Rock Shop!  Campers form bands and use one of our 5 recording studios to practice and record both original and cover songs. Our studios consist of guitars, drums, pianos, bass guitars, keyboards, and all other equipment needed to be Rock Stars!

There are also instructional periods offered for those campers who want to learn or improve on a specific instrument. During majors, campers will have the opportunity to learn and create songs to be performed at the end of session visiting day shows. Recordings will be available at the end of each summer.
